Gianmarco Lorenzi - My Shoe Paradise
Monday, April 25, 2011
On a recent press appointment I discovered the desirable shoe brand Gianmarco Lorenzi. Fashion-forward yet chic, feminine yet provocative, the shoes designed by Gianni Renzi, creative director of Gianmarco Lorenzi, speak entirely for themselves. Each design boasts exceptional attention to detail, with the finest of fabrics used and a priority place upon comfort. Every collection holds the distinctive Gianmarco Lorenzi stamp of luxury and elegance.
Gianni Renzi, was born into a family who owned a specialist children’s footwear factory. He has an innate understanding of shoes and a vision for the future of women’s footwear. Sketching his first shoe designs at the age of five, he soon joined the ranks of the family business and in the 70s, he revolutionised the company with the help of his brothers Marco and Renzo Renzi, shifting its focus from children’s shoes to luxury women’s footwear: thus the label Gianmarco Lorenzi was created. The brand’s head offices are located in Porto Sant’Elipidio in Italy’s Marche region, which is renowned for its excellence in the footwear industry.
With 5 standalone franchises in London, Paris, Jeddah and two in Moscow, as well as 180 stockists worldwide, 90% of Gianmarco Lorenzi’s product is exported, in particular to Russia. There are also plans to open a further nine standalone boutiques by 2014 in China, and to start new strategies of development.
I am drawn to these shoes for their Italian influence, individual character and opulence which all combine to create an incredible collection of desirable shoes.
