Boasting A-list fans like Katy Perry, Pixie Geldof and Kelly Osbourne, these watches by American designer Jeremy Scott for Swatch, have been flying off the shelves with the very wings motif one design demonstrates.
The uber-fun designs from Swatch who have been struggling to adapt since new brands like ToyWatch stepped up to the plate, have finally brought their energy back to the forefront.
The American designer, known for his love of cartoon imagery and pop spin, created three fun and fantastically OTT Swatches.
My favourite is the Opulence, a round watch in a vintage Baroque frame that is removable.
The wings motif, also removable, is a continuation of a design he previously used for a collaboration with Adidas and meant as an ironic comment on the saying ‘time flies’.
The designs have certainly gained the backing of the notoriously hard to please fashion pack, with my super-cool, model, friend Helena, screaming about these designs when she recently joined me for a bbq.
