AW11 marks Karen Millen's 30th anniversary and they have certainly created a collection to remember!
With an abundance of rich colours, textures and opulent materials, the collection encompasses some exquisite pieces!
For a successful look garments should balance hard and soft textures, teaming feminine detailing, such as ruffles adorning the collars of dresses and tops, or lace in sleek panelled dresses, with faux-fur wraps, textual lambskin jackets or quilted biker jackets. (My favourite biker jacket of the season being the garment shown above!)
One of Karen Millen's main collection influences this season is colour, with garments designed to be worn with contrasting tones and saturated faux-fur wraps. This theme also reflects in the accessories, with colourful glossy patent day bags and unbelievable python bags and boots.
