A tour around Tusting HQ & Factory, Lavendon
Monday, June 11, 2012
Last month I was lucky enough to spend a day in the Buckinghamshire countryside visiting the HQ and Factory of heritage company Tusting, the second largest manufacturer in the UK.
It was a wonderful insight into a thoroughly 'Made in England' brand and to see how some of my favourite bags come to life in the Tusting workshop.
With Tusting you have a unique opportunity to combine the past with the present as they have been working with leather for some 130 years. The skilled craftsmen and women are still using the techniques and working with the handbag patterns they first created.

At the end of the tour, we were treated to a wonderful country pub lunch and listened to Tusting stories by William Tusting, one of the three Tusting brothers at the helm, who is the fifth generation of Tusting owners.
It was such an honour to be invited to Tusting, this short video by Alex Oliver documents our visit.
