Yes, it's that time of the year again where Hollywood's finest walk the red carpet in some of the best fashion we will see all year. The red carpet looks cannot and shouldn't define the awards but they do allow some sugar-coated diversion.

 I have selected my five favourite looks from the evening and this was tough. There were many looks which were pretty but perhaps lacked the wow quality I desired.

 My overall favourite was Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford. This icy blue and black dress was perfect for her, classic, sexy and sophisticated.
