This week the most eagerly-anticipated exhibition of 2015 opens at the V&A, after breaking records at the booking office.  'Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty' opens to the public on Saturday 14th March, celebrating the life and work of one of the most innovative and extraordinary creative talents in fashion history.
In October I wrote about what to expect from the exhibition, when details were revealed at the press launch. For those of you lucky enough to have tickets, I share in your excitement.  I have waited a long time for Savage Beauty's homecoming.  Indeed, when I first started the blog, lots of posts, tweets and facebook posts included the campaign hashtag #bringmcqueenexhibitionhome.
What I admired most was how McQueen was never afraid of being raw, individual and controversial.  He created the unique from the inconceivable, lavishing us with astonishing creations, breathtaking shows and imaginative concepts.
McQueen was never just a designer, he was an artist and a thinker, consistently combining everyday ordinary themes of life - sex, nature, history - into astonishing creations which made EVERYONE offer an opinion.
In celebration of the opening, I have chosen my most memorable moments from the McQueen archives.
